Does the thought of September already make your stomach knot?
Perhaps you're wondering...
"Will this year be any different?"
"How do I stop things from getting as bad as they were?"
"Should I be talking about school now, or leaving it until later?"
"How do I know if my child is actually ready?"
If your child found school overwhelming this year, these worries are completely understandable.
Whether they're returning to school full-time, accessing a reduced timetable, currently unable to attend, or you're simply unsure what September might look like, this workshop has been created to help you feel calmer, more informed and more confident.
Because preparing for September isn't just about buying a new school bag.
It's about understanding what your child may need emotionally before they walk through the school gates.

This workshop is for you if your child...
✔ Finds school emotionally overwhelming.
✔ Masks throughout the school day before falling apart at home.
✔ Is exhausted after school or spends weekends recovering.
✔ Experiences anxiety around school.
✔ Is struggling with emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA).
✔ Is on a reduced timetable.
✔ Is currently unable to attend school.
✔ Is accessing EOTAS or alternative education.
✔ Has had a difficult school year and needs support before September arrives.
If you've spent the summer trying your best to support your child but still feel unsure about what comes next, I'd love you to join me.

-
Simple strategies you can begin using immediately to support your child's wellbeing.
This isn't about getting children to "just go to school."
It's about understanding what sits underneath their experiences so you can support them in a way that feels compassionate, realistic and sustainable.
During this workshop you'll discover...
By the end of the workshop you'll...
✔ Feel more confident about the weeks ahead.
✔ Better understand what your child may need before September.
✔ Know how to reduce unnecessary pressure at home.
✔ Have practical ideas you can begin using straight away.
✔ Feel less alone in navigating this journey.
Most importantly...
You'll leave with a clearer understanding of how to support your child rather than feeling like you're simply hoping September goes differently.

Hi, I'm Kate.
I'm a Specialist Occupational Therapist with over 18 years' experience supporting children and young people with sensory differences, neurodivergence, trauma and school-related overwhelm.
My work is rooted in neuroscience, sensory integration, interoception and trauma-informed, neuro-affirming practice.
I'm passionate about helping parents understand what sits underneath behaviour, because when we understand the body, we can respond differently—and that's where meaningful change begins.
